COVID-19 Coronavirus Precautions
Host Drivers,
Several of you have reached out to us inquiring about steps we may be taking in regards to the Coronavirus, especially with the announcement of the new cases in Georgia.
We are watching the news closely, as we know many of you are as well. At this point, it seems that the primary way the virus is spread is through droplets coughed or sneezed from an infected individual to another. Touching rails, handles, door knobs, etc…, then touching your own mouth can spread the virus as well. The virus can reportedly live 48 hours on a surface that has been infected with a sneeze, cough, etc…
At this point, the CDC is recommending covering coughs and sneezing, and sanitizing and disinfecting hard surfaces. Gerardo and Austin are working now to sanitize the handrails, overhead racks and bathroom handles as part of the interior cleanings before the buses leave the yard. We will also be equipping the coaches with hand sanitizer set ups at the front of the coach, and extra disinfectant wipes which you can use to wipe down handles and commonly touched surfaces throughout your trips after groups leave the coach.
Please protect yourself. Make sure you sanitize your hands after loading luggage, touch the handrails, etc…
